2001年ニューヨークのチリ移民たちの姿を、エスニックな音楽・空気と共に描いた藤倉梓の処女作。1973年9月11日に起きたチリのクーデターで命を落としたフォルクローレ（ラテンアメリカの民俗音楽）歌手、ヴィクトル・ハラをモチーフとした。

1789年、蝦夷地（北海道）のアイヌ民族と和人との間に起こった「クナシリ・メナシの戦い」をオリジナルミュージカル化。

KAMUY-RERA is based on the true story about the struggle between Janpanese soldiers and Ainu in 1789.

キーワード＝「sign（掲示、合図、兆候、痕跡）」、場所＝「東京」にまつわる様々な時代や人物、事件を１曲１話完結のスタイルで綴ったソングサイクル（オムニバスミュージカル）。
本作は2014年度のニューヨークNational Asian Artists Project (NAAP)の新作発掘イベントに選出され、12月にブロードウェイの劇場街にてアジア系アメリカ人のキャスト・演出家により上演されている。

sign is an omnibus musical which is set in Tokyo. People all the time are looking for sign. They are the civilians or historical persons in Japan such as the commander of Army of Iwojima, an Ukiyoe-Painter Yumeji Takehisa, the first MVP before World War 2 Eiji Sawamura, Hachi a faithful dog etc.
The first performance opened in August 2013 in Japan and it was selected for NAAP's DISCOVER: NEW MUSICALS and was presented in NYC, 2014 winter.
